LINO LAKES, Minn. – As part of the Anoka County Board’s actions this week, they unanimously approved the installation of a pedestrian bridge over 35W along County Road 14. The county received a federal grant to fund the bridge, and once built it will connect the west side of the highway to the new trail system on the east side. The pedestrian bridge will not be connected to the current roadway, and will be placed far enough away from the current bridge to allow for any sort of widening or expansion that may come to the roadway in future years. The bridge is currently scheduled for construction later this year.
