BLAINE, Minn. – (Nov. 16, 2017) – After hundreds of suggestions and months of discussions, the Spring Lake Park School Board has picked a name for the district’s new elementary school.
Centerview Elementary is currently under construction and will open next Sept. The school is being built on land previously owned by the National Sports Center. The school is located directly in the middle of the district, which includes students from Blaine, Spring Lake Park and Fridley.
The school board and administration is in the process of redrawing district boundary lines to accommodate for the new school. Centerview will join Northpoint and Park Terrace as traditional elementary schools in the district, and Woodcrest will remain a Spanish immersion elementary school.
