COON RAPIDS, Minn. – (Sept. 10, 2015) – The North Metro Mayors Association (NMMA) has a perfect way to welcome the fall season, hosting an afternoon of golf and locally brewed Minnesota beer with community leaders. Their NMMA Craft Beer Tasting Event will be held on Wednesday, September 23 at Bunker Hills Golf Course. The event is open to the public.
The event starts with an optional nine holes of golf at 2 p.m. At 4:30, p.m., NMMA will host a VIP reception with Community Partners and event sponsors, including Northeast Bank, Running Aces, CenterPoint Energy, Comcast, Xcel Energy, Great River Energy, P.S.D., LLC, and more. The doors open to the public at 5:30 p.m.
Three local breweries will be featured. A $50 ticket includes beer or wine and heavy appetizers; golf is another $30.
“We are excited to host community leaders from all over the North Metro region,” said Kathi Hemken, president of NMMA, and mayor of the city of New Hope. “It’s sure to be a fun and informative event.”
Created in 1987, the NMMA serves as a champion organization encouraging private and public investments in the northern suburbs and city of Minneapolis. It is recognized as a unified voice for issues impacting the North Metro area at the federal, state and regional levels of government. The NMMA is a policy driven organization providing research and advocacy services on a broad range of issues that affect its members, its community partners and the broader North Metro area.
