ANOKA – The Anoka County Elections Office is getting a lot of questions about an unsolicited mailing to voters. If you received a letter from the Center for Voter Information, you’re not alone. It includes a letter to the voter along with an absentee ballot application.
County officials say the letters came from a non-profit organization using their own mailing lists, but they are not a scam. Even though it didn’t come from a government agency, if you fill out the application and send it to Anoka County Elections, it will be processed, and you will receive an absentee ballot.
Anoka County will be sending out its own mailing that will outline absentee voting options.
