The Crosstown shopping center got a huge renovation in the form of an all new library interior at the North Central Library branch. The North Central Library staff were happy to welcome patrons back into the newly renovated space.
“It was a total renovation, furniture, shelving and a larger children’s program area,” said Amy Fettig, Library Manager of North Central Branch of Anoka County. “They were all very excited, they were waiting and asking. We created a really inviting space and we are really excited to have people back.”
One entirely new space that the library will feature is an all new online interviewing space. It’s a private room with a large monitor and an overhead camera which will help people without access to an at home computer or camera a chance to do online interviews.
Alongside these new additions the library hopes to find local artists to fill their walls with artwork and as of right now their is nothing up on the walls. The library also wants to feature local authors as well as part of an initiative by Anoka County to feature talent from the area.
