BLAINE, Minn. – (May 21, 2015) – Streets MN, a non-profit with a mission to inform the public on transportation issues, put out a list of the busiest intersections in Minnesota based on extrapolated data. Seven of the top ten busiest intersections in the entire state are in the north metro area and two of them are in Blaine.
Highway 65 and 109th Ave. rated as the third busiest intersection with an estimated volume 64,650 cars passing through per day. Highway 65 and 93rd Lane was number four with 62,500 cars. Topping the list was Highway 252 and 66th Ave. North in Brooklyn Center. Highway 252 also had three other intersections on the list. Highway 10 at Fairoak Ave. in Anoka also made the top 10.
The list does exclude any intersection that includes a freeway entrance or exit ramp. For a complete list, click here.
