WASHINGTON, D.C. – (May 22, 2015) – This week the U.S Census Bureau released the latest population data. The 2014 population numbers showed that Blaine and surrounding communities continue to grow. Blaine’s new population estimate is 61,190 – a more than 1 percent gain over 2013.
Since the last census in 2010 Blaine’s population has grown by 7 percent. Blaine now ranks as the 584th largest city in the United States.
Anoka County’s population grew by more than 2,500 residents in the last year and growth was reported in – Ham Lake, Lino Lakes, Centerville, Spring Lake Park and Circle Pines.
