SPRING LAKE PARK, Minn. – (March 6, 2017) – The Spring Lake Park School District will be getting a very helpful boost in funding thanks to a recent Panther Foundation Gala that raised $185,000.
The Panther Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to raising money to support Spring Lake Park Schools.
Their 13th annual gala was held on Feb. 25, and including this most recent event, the foundation has raised over $1 million for student experiences and learning. More than 260 projects have been funded.
In addition each year the Panther Foundation, in collaboration with the school district, introduces a special project at the gala intended to make a difference in the lives of students, called Fund-a-Dream. This year’s Fund-a Dream program was STEM and $27,000 were raised and then matched by the Panther Foundation Board of Directors bringing the contribution to over $54,000.
The event was well attended with 350 people and 400 silent auction items from sponsors. The next Panther Foundation fundraiser will be June 26 for the 5th Annual Golf Fundraiser in support of Spring Lake Park Schools Athletics and Activities.
