“This resurfacing will be going on night Monday through Friday morning for the next two weeks,” said Kent Barnard from MnDOT. “You should watch out for trucks and other equipment on the roadways along with workers out there. We’ll be having lane closures nightly Monday through Friday from about 7 am to 5 pm the following morning through May 22nd.”
The resurfacing is part of a project designed to upgrade highway 10 and when finished drivers will experience a smoother ride.
“It’ll be safer and it will extend the life of the pavement,” Barnard said. “Of course we did do the work last year to add a third lane in each direction between Meadow Creek and Round Lake Boulevard. This resurfacing of the highway surface will be a final step in the this project. We should be done by the end of May.”
Approximately 60,000 to 80,000 cars a day use US 10 in Anoka County.
