(BLAINE) – The North Metro’s three major districts approved calendars for the start of the school year.
Anoka-Hennepin Schools’ first day of school will be Tuesday, September 15.
Elementary schools will begin in a hybrid format, with Mondays off, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for one group and Thursdays and Fridays for another group.
Middle and high schools will begin in a distance learning format before entering a hybrid model on September 28.
Centennial Schools will offer hybrid learning for all students, and the first day of school will be September 8, the day after Labor Day.
In a normal five-day week, one group of students will attend Mondays and Tuesdays, and a second group will attend Thursdays and Fridays.
For Spring Lake Park Schools, the district will begin Thursday, September 10, and all kindergarten and first grade students will be in-person every day.
Grades second through twelfth will be in a hybrid learning model, divided into two groups alphabetically.
Those with the last name starting with A through L will attend school on Mondays and Thursdays, and students with a last name starting with M through Z will attend school on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Forest Lake Schools, which operate Lino Lakes Elementary, will offer a split schedule, with alternating days.
