HAM LAKE, Minn. (August 15, 2013) — The day of your wedding is supposed to be a special time filled with happy memories, but some couples have not been so lucky. Police are searching for criminals who were out to ruin the wedding memories of couples.
First, it was a wedding reception in Brooklyn Park on July 6, then several weeks later, a wedding at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake on July 20. Authorities have identified two of the people they believe were involved with the crime in Ham Lake.
Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Derrick Duane Manson (top) and Aaron Ray Martin. They are both suspected of crashing wedding receptions in the metro area, and stealing card boxes filled with cash, checks, and gift cards. Manson was identified through video surveillance at the two separate weddings, and both men were identified on video at the Andover Target using gift cards that were obtained from the card boxes shortly after the robbery.
The whereabouts of the suspects are unknown.
Manson and Martin have been charged with felony theft, and are believed to have gotten away with more than $7,455 worth of money and gift cards.
