“Life is a challenge, and we want to provide some hope,” says Dorothy Radermacher. Radermacher says that she’s been told by several soldiers that “everybody always remembers us, (but) there needs to be more done to help our families who are left behind at home.”
For the third year, her organization, along with Quad Area Chamber of Commerce, are organizing a secret Santa project for military families. These families could have someone in active service, or in the reserves, or be a veteran. They hope to pair people and organizations who want to help with military families with a need.
They’ve extended the deadline until December 20th in the hopes of finding some families to help. If you would like to get connected with this project, you can check out the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon page on Facebook, or the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce’s website.
