COON RAPIDS, Minn. – (March 1, 2018) – Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart has announced that he will seek re-election to a 3rd term as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Anoka County. Stuart was first elected in 2010 and then was unopposed for re-election in 2014.
Sheriff Stuart serves on the Executive Board for the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association and on the Board of Directors for the National Sheriff’s Association. In recent years Sheriff Stuart has been active in both the fight against sex trafficking and the opioid epidemic.
At this point no challengers have announced a campaign against Stuart.
