ANDOVER, Minn. – (Feb. 1, 2018) – On Sunday, Jan. 28 at 8:22 p.m. deputies from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of a male lying on the frontage road in the 139th Ave block of Round Lake Blvd in Andover. Upon arrival, the deputies found a 38-year-old male with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The victim lives in the area and was walking to his home.
The victim was conscious but was unable to speak. He was transported to Mercy Hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition. There are no known witnesses to the incident as it was reported by a person who came upon the victim after the fact.
Authorities are going through video surveillance footage of businesses in the area for a possible suspect vehicle. It appears the victim was struck by vehicle traveling northbound on the Round Lake Blvd frontage road near G-Will liquors.
