LINO LAKES, Minn. – The Lino Lakes Police Department responded to a call regarding an intoxicated female making a disturbance at a home on White Pine Road on the evening of May 1. That woman, 28-year-old Rachel Lyn Huntzicker of Shoreview, MN, reportedly followed the homeowner and had been stumbling around his house.
According to police reports, the homeowner claims he observed Huntzicker driving a motor vehicle and had taken her car keys to prevent her from driving any further. Huntzicker’s vehicle was in the man’s driveway when officers arrived on the scene. Officers noticed that Huntzicker smelled strongly of alcohol, her eyes appeared bloodshot and glassy, and her speech was slurred; after having difficulty retrieving her identification, Huntzicker admitted to police that she had been drinking earlier.
Reports indicate that Huntzicker became combative as she was being taken into custody. According to the officers, she began screaming and kicking at them and at one point kicked a policeman in the head near his ear. As she was being transported to jail, Huntzicker told the transporting officer that she was going to murder her and dismember her, claiming she was going to “use [the officer’s] skin as bread.”
The criminal complaint indicates that Huntzicker cursed and screamed at law enforcement upon arriving at the jail, and refused to participate in contacting an attorney. She is being charged with one count of Terroristic Threats, one count of Second Degree Driving While Impaired, one count of Third Degree Driving While Impaired and one count of Obstructing Legal Process. She was previously convicted for a DWI in Hennepin County in 2009.
