SPRING LAKE PARK, Minn. – (Oct. 5, 2017) – The Spring Lake Park City Council has approved a request from Life Prep Academy to house students at the school starting this fall.
Life Prep Academy is run by former State Senator Pam Wolf. The school is for at-risk youth, several of whom are homeless. The new dormitory will allow for up to 8 students to live on site. The agreement with the city allows that number to increase to 16 after six months.
The school plans to start with only six students living on site. Two adults will also be on site at all times. Life Prep Academy hopes to complete renovations and have students living on site by early November.
