BLAINE, Minn. – (May 10, 2018) – TPC Twin Cities opened to golfers on May 2. That is the latest opening date in the course’s 19 year history. It took lots of work to get the course ready for play but it is rounding into shape nicely.
“The course is good…it is greening up,” said TPC head golf professional Chris Weinhold.
Just like the course – players need to spend some extra time at the start of the season to get back into shape.
“It is just a matter of a lot of times getting the rust off. A lot of times one lesson to start off the year will get you in the right mode,” said Weinhold.
At the TPC they use advanced technology to break down your golf swing and help make you a better player.

“ We use video and we also use Trackman. The trackman…we use it for teaching it gives us a lot of data about your impact,” said TPC director of instruction Jay Norman.
Lessons at the private club are open to the general public and they offer many different lesson types.
“We clinics and lessons for all ages and all abilities,” said Weinhold. “Everything lesson wise is open to the public,” said Norman
While the TPC is known for hosting large events like the annual 3M Championship its focus on lessons fit with the overall mission of the TPC Network and PGA Tour.
“We are a private club but we are all about growing the game. We want everybody just to play one more round of golf than they did last year,” said Weinhold.
