(ANOKA) – State and local leaders are ready for the 2020 Census, and have spent months already on the effort, which begins in earnest on April 1.
State Demographer Susan Brower joined Andrew Wylie of Anoka County Library and Circle Pines City Councilmember Dean Goldberg on a recent taping of Conversations on North Metro TV to discuss the implications of getting the most accurate count of the state’s population as possible. It has ramifications for not only representation on Capitol Hill and in St. Paul, but also on the amount of federal aid a community can receive.
