ANOKA – Anoka County Board Chair Scott Schulte presented the State of the County address this week. In an event hosted by the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce, commissioner Schulte highlighted a number of important county-wide issues.
“The Anoka County Board of Commissioners is focused on supporting businesses, and our local cities’ efforts to attract, retain, and help businesses grow and prosper,” said Schulte.
In addition to economic development, Commissioner Schulte also addressed transportation issues, building improvements, traffic plans, IT safety issues, the Anoka County Jail, and county amenities.
One popular amenity is the county parks system, which is the second largest county park system in the state, sitting at 11,500 acres that see more than 5 million annual visitors.
