WASHINGTON D.C. – (May 26, 2016) – Representative Keith Ellison has received a more prominent role in the Democratic National Party. He was chosen by Bernie Sanders to be one person on the party’s platform committee. The committee will set the agenda and principal’s for the Democratic National Convention in July.
The committee will be made up of 15 people from across the nation. Ellison was one of five people picked nationwide by Sanders. Hillary Clinton selected six people to join the committee and the party chair chose four.
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Philadelphia, July 25-28.
