BLAINE, Minn. – (Sept. 28, 2017) – Blaine’s Building Inspection Department has issued more than 7,000 storm related permits since the June 11 storm.
This includes roofs, siding and windows. In a typical busy year, around 3,400 total permits are issued. So far this year, the Blaine Inspections Department has issued more than 10,000.
It is estimated that more than 12,000 homes were damaged were damaged. Only about one third of storm related permits have completed their work.
