(PRESS RELEASE) – Summer is a fun time to swim – does your teen know how to have fun in the water while being safe?
Anoka-Hennepin Community Education will host its first Teen Water Safety Clinics Thurs., June 13 and Mon., June 17 from 7-8 p.m. at Roosevelt Community Pool (650-125th Ave.) in Blaine. Clinics are free of charge and will cover knowing your limits; safe water entry through diving/jumping into lakes, rivers and pools; boating practices; reaching and throwing extensions; and the dangers of cold water, currents and more.
Families are encouraged to register teens ages 13-18 to attend, online, although drop-in participants are welcome if space is available. If teens are comfortable getting in the water, please bring a swimsuit and a towel.

Teen Water Safety Clinics
Anoka-Hennepin Community Education offers swimming lessons at Roosevelt Community Pool in Blaine year-round for youth of all ages, at all skill levels. The pool is indoors and lessons are offered rain or shine.
