BLAINE, Minn. – (Feb. 9, 2017) – A threatening message was found on a bathroom wall at Blaine High School this week. The message referenced that Feb. 9 would be the bloodiest day in school history. The message was found on Feb. 8. The a photo of the message was shared on Twitter, but the tweet was quickly deleted.
The investigation determined that the threat was not credible and the focus of investigators was on determining who was responsible for the message. Even without any credible evidence that the message would be acted upon Blaine police did have a more visible presence at the school on Thursday and patrols in the area were increased.
