ANOKA, Minn. – Seven individuals have applied for the open seat on the Anoka-Hennepin School Board. Kathy Tingelstad resigned from the board earlier this year in protest to the board’s decision to agree to a settlement in a lawsuit regarding bullying and discrimination in the district.
The seven applicants will be interviewed by the school board and then the board will appoint one of them to fill out the remainder of Tingelstad’s term. The board is expected to make the appointment decision public at their July 9th meeting.
