“It’s such a fun day,” said Tauni Commers of Blaine.
“This is our 15th annual golf event,” said Brandy Gilbert from TPC Rose.
Every summer TPC Rose brings North Metro business women together on the links to benefit area charities.
“This year it’s for Alexandra House which helps women who are trying to escape domestic abuse which is just a wonderful cause altogether,” Commers said… “That’s what it’s all about. Giving back. Supporting the community and those who are going through difficult times.”
Cash windfall
There were 144 golfers playing in the 2025 tournament and they raised plenty of money for this non-profit.
“I know it will be six figures,” Gilbert said. “But what that check reveal will be, we’ll have to wait until December to find out.”
“The TPC Rose does such a good job with their philanthropic groups in raising money for those groups,” Commers said.
It was a double dose of good news for everyone participating in the event. They supported a good cause and got to play on a PGA Tour course.
Said Gilbert: “We have a beautiful course to play on here at the TPC Twin Cities so why not use it for good.”
“It’s quite a privilege to play on this course and have it right here in Blaine,” Commers said. “It’s a beautiful course. Not an easy course. So for those of us who aren’t true golfers it’s challenging, but it’s also a lot of fun.”
