BLAINE, Minn. – (March 23, 2017) – Two new local college scholarships were announced this week. The scholarships are provided by TPC ROSE, a nonprofit group of women affiliated with the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine.
“We decided to expand our giving here at TPC ROSE by offering two high school scholarships this year,” said TPC ROSE President Sandra Crane.
There are two scholarships available this year. One will be awarded to a young woman from Blaine High School and a second to a young woman from Spring Lake Park High School.
“It will be awarded to a lady who has a heart for volunteerism, who has given back 40 or more hours to their community, has a 3.2 GPA or higher, and will be pursuing post secondary education in the fall,” said Crane.
Since 2008, TPC ROSE has donated more than $700,000 to help local nonprofits, and Sandra says that starting a scholarship fund is the next step in their philanthropy.
