ST. PAUL, Minn. – (May 18, 2017) – The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says that we have now surpassed 100 traffic deaths in 2017. Thirty-three percent of the deaths involved speeding, 30 percent were not wearing their seat belts, and nearly a quarter were related to alcohol.
This year’s 100th traffic death came about two weeks later than it did last year.
