This heavily traveled east-west road has received some major upgrades in the North Metro.
Highway 10 now has three lanes in both directions between Round Lake and Hanson Boulevard in Coon Rapids. This giant construction project started in March and is finished for the winter – except for work being done on a new noise wall on the east side of 10 between Main Street and Hanson.
According to MnDOT, drivers will encounter shoulder closures throughout the winter and should use caution when workers are present.
Construction crews return next spring to resurface and restripe
The Highway 10 project should be totally wrapped up by late May 2026. The total cost will be $40.5 million.
