SPRING LAKE PARK, Minn. – (Nov. 17, 2016) – Even though the election is over, Spring Lake Park is just beginning the process of filling a vacancy on their city council.
In October, council member Jeanne Mason passed away, and even with the election of two new council members this month, that still leaves them short one seat.
The council will be taking applications from residents interested in filling the remaining two years of that seat. Applications are due by November 28, and the council plans on interviewing interested candidates in December, and appointing someone to that seat before the end of the year.
Applicants need to live in Spring Lake Park, be at least 21 years old, and be available to attend regular city council meetings, and various committee meetings.
You can find the application here.
