ANOKA COUNTY, Minn. – (Nov. 9, 2017) – Join the Anoka County Retired, Senior, and Volunteer Program (RSVP)! If you are age 55 or better, RSVP will pair you with a county nonprofit or social services program that needs your help.
With tax season fast approaching, RSVP needs certified volunteer tax counselors for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. Volunteer tax counselors help low-income seniors and people with disabilities fill out their 2017 income tax returns. This volunteer-run program is sponsored by the AARP Foundation, the IRS, and the MN Department of Revenue.
Learn how to become a certified Tax Aide Volunteer at an information session. You will get a quick introduction to tax law and computer software used to prepare taxes. This is a rewarding way to help people who need assistance with taxes and to make a difference in your community.
