Saint Paul, Minn. – (Aug. 17, 2017) – Governor Mark Dayton recently announced a water quality goal called 25 by ’25. It is a call to action to improve the water quality in Minnesota 25 percent by the year 2025.
There will be a series of town hall meetings over the summer and fall, and Minnesotans and civic organizations are encouraged to provide feedback and ideas. A community water meeting will be hosted in Coon Rapids on August 29, 7 to 9 p.m. at Anoka Ramsey Community College.
Many state agencies are invloved with the 25 by ’25 intiative including:
- Department of Health
- Department of Agriculture
- Pollution Control Agency
- Metropolitan Council
- Department of Natural Resources
- Board of Water and Soil Resources
- Environmental Quality Board
- Public Facilities Authority
