FOREST LAKE, Minn. – (Aug. 3, 2015) – The Centennial Lakes Police Department ended a manhunt spanning two days and stretching across two states. The suspect is a 14-year-old boy.
Prior to coming to Minnesota, he allegedly committed burglary, stole two cars, fled police in a vehicle, and fled police on foot.
He was seen speeding on Lexington Avenue in the early morning hours on Tuesday, Aug. 3 when an officer from the Centennial Lakes Police Department attempted to pull him over. Instead of stopping, the boy continued to drive, leading a chase on Highway 35W, and eventually crashing the vehicle in Forest Lake.
He was taken to the hospital and then to the Anoka County Regional Juvenile Center.
Charges are pending.
