ANOKA, Minn. – (Dec. 15, 2016) – A passing freight train took the life of a young Champlin woman. On Dec. 11, Danielle Rogers, 18, was at the Northstar Anoka Station to catch the commuter rail to her place of employment in Bloomington.
Witnesses reported that she attempted to cross the tracks in front of an approaching train but appears to have lost her footing in the newly fallen snow and did not make it out of the path of the oncoming freight train.
