The Blaine Girls basketball team has been fueled by a “we over me” mantra this season. The unselfishness is paying off as the Bengals are going to the Minnesota Girls State Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2009.

A Blaine resident who works for a North Metro waste and recycling company has won a prestigious driving honor and gets to celebrate by going to Washington DC.

The US 10 lane expansion project in the North Metro will finish in about three months. These days construction crews are putting up sound barriers next to the road.
