A group of volunteers travels around the metro every week, bringing a special service to anyone who needs it. Mobile Menders began in June of 2017, and has grown to a group of about one hundred people who are willing to hem pants, repair zippers, replace buttons and more. A room full of menders gathered on a Tuesday morning in Johnsville Library. All with a love of sewing.

At a small store in Champlin, profits are being used to help homeless youth. HOPE 4 Youth owns and operates hope’s closest. It’s a resale boutique run by volunteers, and it brought more than $100,000 for the charity in its first year.
