For the third year in a row, members of the Lino Lakes Department of Public Safety met on the ice for a hockey game. More than just a battle between the police and fire divisions, each year this game raises money for a charity providing services to emergency responders.

A group of volunteers travels around the metro every week, bringing a special service to anyone who needs it. Mobile Menders began in June of 2017, and has grown to a group of about one hundred people who are willing to hem pants, repair zippers, replace buttons and more. A room full of menders gathered on a Tuesday morning in Johnsville Library. All with a love of sewing.
