The Anoka-Hennepin School District has begun the process of naming two new schools that will be located in Ramsey and Blaine.
MNDOT BEGINS STUDY ON HIGHWAY 65
MnDOT has begun a study of the Highway 65 corridor. Anoka County and Blaine have each committed $100,000 to the study.
AL SANNERUD NAMED OUTSTANDING SENIOR
All 87 counties in Minnesota nominate a man and a woman for the statewide honor and it is believed that this was the first winner from Anoka County in decades. At 95 Sannerud is still going strong and is the executive director of Bikes for Kids. Bikes for Kids collects and refurbishes used bikes and gets them to those in need.
ANIMALS RESCUED FROM BLAINE HOME
The Blaine Police Department turned the 30 animals over to the Animal Humane Society for treatment and care.

A Coon Rapids woman has been charged with burglary and theft after she allegedly stole sixty-one wedding dresses from a storage locker she managed in Blaine.
ANOTHER HOUSING DEVELOPMENT STARTS IN BLAINE
Lennar will build 43 new homes, the development will be built just south of 113th Avenue and Pierce Street, and it will be called Wicklow Woods.
CENTENNIAL LIBRARY CLOSES FOR REMODEL
The Centennial Branch Library has closed its doors, and is getting ready to build a new space. After serving the community for 33 years, the need for more space, and some updates, became clear.
CEREMONY HELD FOR 105TH AVENUE OPENING
After a year of construction and many more years of planning before that, 105th Avenue in Blaine is rebuilt and open to drivers. This week a grand opening ceremony was held.
NEW DEVELOPMENT COMING TO LEXINGTION
The old Lovell building in Lexington is finally getting an upgrade. What was once a school and the city hall building will now be Landings of Lexington, a 180 unit affordable apartment complex.
