There are 1.5 million adults age 65 and over in Minnesota, and this senior population has growing needs. One organization that is meeting these needs is Meals on Wheels. They have been checking in on seniors and making sure they have proper nutrition for decades.
Helping Homeless Youth
On any given night, more than 4,000 young people in Minnesota are homeless. Hope 4 Youth is one of the resources available for local young people who are experiencing homelessness. In 2015, their drop-in center was visited more than 8,000 times. More than 5,000 meals were eaten at the center, and their food pantry was visited nearly 6,000 times.
