There have been plenty of conflicts in US military history and most of the so-called “war heroes” are men. But in reality women have been there too. For over 200 years they have served the USA, except they never received credit for their efforts. However, that’s changing and recently women vets got some long overdue publicity in the North Metro area.

Transportation and County Engineer Joe MacPherson has been reappointed by the Anoka County board for another four years. MacPherson has been in that position for almost seven years and wants to continue building on the foundation he has put in place.

There has been no need for raincoats and umbrellas in the North Metro recently, as conditions are desert dry. My how things have changed. In April the Twin Cities was dealing with flood. In June there is a drought.
