It’s tradition for Centennial High School seniors, about a week before graduation, to return to their respective elementary schools to walk the halls in caps and gowns and receive congratulations from the younger students.

The plant will employ nearly 600 people and feature some 300 vans that will come and go each day at the site between 20th and 21st Avenues, close to the intersection of Main Street and Interstate 35-E. Reaction to the news online included many voicing concerns about the traffic and noise impacts.

Ramsey County officials have put more information and input the county has already received from those who use a busy Lino Lakes interchange with a freeway out for more feedback this summer ahead of probable reconstruction of the interchange in 2024.

Lino Lakes water customers may soon be able to track their usage in close-to-real-time if the city can get a state grant to help pay for new meters and transmission technology.

Fire officials in Lino Lakes say they were fortunate to find a used fire truck to replace one that had to be taken out of service because of a structural issue.  The city council approved buying a replacement, but it’s only a temporary fix.

A major development in Centerville will bring an Amazon warehouse and hundreds of jobs to the city.  Up until now, the name has been kept under wraps, known only as Project Banjo.  Centerville City officials announced it was Amazon coming to the city at the May 25 city council meeting

The City of Lino Lakes officially opened its Rookery Activity Center on Monday, May 23. It is housed in the same building that YMCA of the North operated for more than a decade, before it decided to abandon it after its initial COVID-19 shutdown in early 2020.
