Lyngblomsten broke ground on its newest location in Lino Lakes, near the intersection of County Road J and Hodgson Road.

Lino Lakes has taken another step forward toward re-opening the former YMCA, by naming a target opening date of April 1, 2022.

The Anoka Conservation District was originally established after the Dust Bowl with a goal of helping farmers. Now, the District helps individual land owners and local governments with resource management, and they just celebrated their 75th anniversary.

Anoka County is preparing to take a big step as officials figure out what to do about a jail they say is outdated and presents security concerns.  Replacing the jail, building a new 911 call center, and a new parking ramp at the courthouse would cost an estimated $244 million. 

The Anoka-Hennepin School District got the support it needed to keep two tax levies that were about to expire. 

Stephanie Carlson cited personal reasons for leaving the position, according to Human Resources Director Dan Melde.  Carlson was elected in November of 2020 and started serving in that position in January of 2021.

A new restaurant opened in Blaine this week. Crisp & Green opened the doors on their tenth Minnesota location just off Highway 65 at 10620 Baltimore Street NE. The restaurant offers salads, grain bowls, and smoothies.

The city hosted architects, property owners, community members, and other design professionals for a three-day meeting to talk about possible plans for redeveloping the struggling retail core of Northtown Mall and its surrounding area.
