Three years after major renovations and one year after COVID and more renovations kept it closed, Roosevelt Community Pool in Blaine is ready for a big summer.

Anoka County Public Health is also working to increase vaccination numbers with clinics held around the county every week.  They use 98 percent of the vaccine they receive. But officials say they would request more vaccine if they could convince more people to get it.

The summer driving season is here and with COVID infections declining, families are eager to put the last 15 months in the rear view mirror.

A fundraiser for the non-profit Cars for Neighbors is planned for June 5.

According to the study, if a water treatment plant is built, a homeowner paying $99.40 per quarter for water now, would pay $129.59 in 2025.    

The center closed on March 13, 2020 for more than four months. They tried to re-open a couple times later in the year, but COVID rules changed and thwarted that effort.
