At the Lexington municipal liquor store sales were up by more than 30 percent.  Store manager Jack Borgen says business was non-stop on some days as customers stocked up.

At McKinley Elementary in Ham Lake, it was like the first day of school all over again. Except this time snow was falling and students were bundled up against chilly weather.

Hard hit restaurants, bars and gyms that had to close or continue to operate at less than full capacity are at the top of the priority list.  Those with 20 employees or more may get up to $15,000.  Businesses with 21 to 100 employees could be eligible for up to $25,000.

The Ham Lake Snowbowl committee announced this week that they will not be celebrating the annual city festival this year.
