A soggy start to June has slowed down road construction on parts of Minnesota 65 in the North Metro – but that hasn’t stopped MnDOT crews from getting work in when they can.

North Metro roads are in better shape this year because of the mild winter. Something normally seen on highways is not as prevalent this spring.

Late spring can be a time for weather fireworks and that was the case in the North Metro as heavy rain and high winds battered the area on Tuesday.

Blaine recently got some good news when more funding was allocated for improvements on Minnesota State Highway 65. This project is expected to start in a couple years and will be a game-changer in the North Metro area.
