SACA Helps Those in Need
One in 10 Minnesotans, or more than 500,000 state residents, experience food insecurity on a regular basis. Trying to meet this need are hundreds of food shelves that work together to help get food into the hands of the hungry.
Empty Bowls Event Supports Hungry Families, Seniors and Veterans
SACA is a food shelf and community assistance program serving families in Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Fridley and Spring Lake Park. The number of households SACA served has increased 103% from 4,743 in 2013 to 9,615 in 2015.
