36 people died last year in fires in Minnesota, a 47 percent drop from 2017 when 68 people died, according to preliminary numbers from the Department of Public Safety.
POLICE CONCERNED ABOUT PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
On April 24 a pedestrian was hit and killed at the intersection of 85th Avenue and University Avenue. That intersection has police concerned as it is a high foot traffic area mixed with a high speed roadway.
