The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department organized a charity hockey game pitting local firefighters against local police officers and this week, the teams took the ice at the Schwan’s Super Rink as a large crowd cheered them on.
Herb Brooks Statue Coming to the NSC
Herb Brooks became a legend in the State of Hockey after leading his team to a miracle win in the 1980 Olympics. His legacy can be is seen in Olympic history, in films, and cast in metal outside the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Soon, his likeness will also be seen in Blaine, at the National Sports Center.
