Career Force located in the Human Service Center of Anoka County, helps residents find jobs and also tries to create equitable workspaces.
Career Force works with private, public and non-profits to help advance residents careers and attract and retain workforce employees.
The job fairs are a chance for those looking for new careers or for first time employees. It’s also a chance for employers to meet face-to-face with potential employees.
“Your just a set of numbers to most employees, this a chance for them to say ‘hey I remember that person from the job fair.’ It can really help your chance to get a job,” said Maria Lourey-Bowen.
Career Force also offers other specialized career fairs for healthcare, manufacturing, assembly, retail and much more. Career Force also receives funds to train residents before they get jobs so they can be ready for the workforce.
