The Bengals were on fire in the first half and Blaine Net-Minder Blake Nastrom stopped just about everything the Rebels threw at him. And put up a three goal lead entering halftime at 4-1.
But Champlin Park had their turn in the third quarter putting up 3 and only giving up one to tie the game at 4-4 with seconds ticking on the clock.
Both the Bengals & Rebels had a goal in the 4th Quarter and as it soon as it looked like overtime might be brewing, Ridge Gerads smoked the game-winner by TJ Johnson with just over a minute to play giving the Bengals the win and earning their first trip to the State Tournament by taking out the undefeated Champlin Park Rebels.
