Stop by North Metro TV anytime in the next month and you’re likely to feel a buzz in the air. You see, the first Tuesday of May is fast approaching and at NMTV that means the VIP Awards. If you aren’t already aware, the VIP Awards are kind of like NMTV’s homegrown version of the Emmys or Oscars. It’s our chance to honor everyone who makes our station great, namely our volunteers, interns, and part-timers, with an awards dinner at Majestic Oaks Golf Club.
There will be great food, of course, speeches, a little comedy, and, of course, the highly coveted VIP Award statue itself, given this year to over 30 deserving recipients. Volunteers, interns, and part-timers working for the news, sports, promotions, and public access departments will all be honored. Additionally, the public access department announces nominees for each of its awards (all of whom are listed below), with each nominee receiving a special nomination certificate at the ceremony.
So, if you’re one of our volunteers, interns, or part-timers, keep an eye on your mailbox and keep May 7 open to join us for this year’s VIP Awards. And if you’re not already a volunteer, call 763-231-2803 to get started!
